In the unspoiled Cochamó Valley, set amid the crystalline rivers and waterfalls, surrounded by lush rainforest and grand granite mountains, Campo Aventura’s two cozy lodges and traditional Patagonian hospitality await  you.

Our Riverside Lodge, situated directly on the crystal clear Cochamó River, is a haven of peace and tranquility. And 20 kilometers up river, lies our remote Mountain Lodge, set in a valley that is often called the ‘Yosemite of South America.’

To travel between our two lodges, you will follow a centuries-old trail once ridden by ridden by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid! This route is passable only on foot or on horseback – and is best enjoyed in the company of our local gauchos. Along this trail and up in the mountains, you will revel in an untouched natural wilderness  – dwarfed by the immense trees of the native rainforest, awed by the roar of waterfalls and rushing rivers, glimpsing shy forest birds and bright flowers, and gazing up at soaring condors and granite peaks.

Mountain Lodge & Camping:

Our Mountain Lodge at La Junta lies at the “junction” of two rivers, peacefully awaiting guests who have chosen an overnight horse-trek or hiking package. Set amid a sprawling 50 hectares, bounded by two rivers, boasting a small lake, two waterfalls and its own marked nature trail, the Mountain Lodge is a little piece of paradise! Accommodation is in a traditional, converted farmhouse – with four guest rooms (including two double rooms) and two shared bathrooms with hot showers.

Riverside Lodge  – our ‘base camp’ – is located at the mouth of the Rio Cochamó, where it flows into Chile’s northernmost fjord, the Estuario Reloncaví. The garden blooms with deep-blue hydrangeas, shocking pink fuchsias, bright orange michays and other native plants. Our three cozy shared cabaña rooms, with en-suite bathrooms, can accommodate three guests each. Our secluded two-room casita, with its own bathroom, take up to six guests. For larger groups and busy periods, we have access to a five-bedroom, self-contained casa-turistica, as well as an additional cabaña about 100 meters away from our main facility. A sandy riverside beach, a welcoming restaurant, and cozy ‘fogón,’ – all invite you to relax with a cappuccino or glass of wine, and enjoy the company of like-minded nature-lovers from around the world. Most of our programs include full board/all meals, but you can also reserve a stay on a Bed and Breakfast basis. We also welcome campers at Riverside Lodge – in a setting that cannot be rivaled, and with an atmosphere of peace and privacy that is not easily found elsewhere in Patagonia. Campers have access to a hot shower, clean toilets and wash-up area, firewood  – and partake of our delicious buffet breakfast. We limit the number of campsites to ensure a private and personal experience. Riverside Lodge – Camping and Breakfast: 9,000 CLP per person per night   *Note: All room rates are per day and per person, based on a two-person minimum sharing accommodation.
